Purpose Statement Core Values

The Crossroads Community Church Purpose Statement and Core Values

Love Jesus, Love others, Meet needs

Every venture we consider will be examined in light of these values, and we will never consider any ministry that falls outside the boundaries of these values
  1. Above all things, we treasure God and His glory. Christ is the very thing that sustains us and gives us hope, and we must remain connected to Him. He is the head of the church. (Colossians 1:18)

  1. We value prayer (both corporate and personal) as a means of worship, confession, thanksgiving, and petition, and cannot expect the power of God amongst our people apart from prayer. (Psalm 46:10, Ephesians 6:18-19)
  1. We value the lost and believe that evangelism occurs at various levels, starting first with the individual, then the small group, then the corporate body, to include the support of missions and church planting. (Matthew 28:18-20)
  1. We will present the truth of Jesus Christ in a relevant, creative format, through the power of the Holy Spirit, so as to impact and transform lives. (1st Cor. 2:1-5)
  1. We will be a place where people who are broken and stereotyped can come and receive love, forgiveness, acceptance, and a new beginning. (Matthew 9:36, John 3:17)
  1. Every Christ follower is a minister who has been given gifts by the Holy Spirit to be discovered, developed, and deployed for the expansion of the kingdom, and the building up of the local church. (Romans 12:8)
  1. We value real connectedness, accountability to a local body of believers, and discipleship as it occurs best in small groups. (Acts 2:46-47; 1 Peter 3:8-12; 2 Tim. 2:2)
  1. We will identify emerging leaders who are fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, and train them to reach their generation with the Gospel. (2nd Tim. 2:2)
  1. Children are valuable and we will partner with parents in bringing them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. (Matthew 18:1-6; Ephesians 6:4)
  1. We will demonstrate sacrificial love and service to our local community. (Matthew 22:36-40; John 15:12-13; Romans 12:10, 13:8; Galatians 5:13, 6:2; 1 Peter 4:9; 1 John 3:16-18)
